Hands to Make ‘Sampradayikta Virodhi March’ a Grand Success !
Date: 6th
December, 2014, Time: 11 AM
Assembly
Place: Mandi House, Delhi
Dear Friends,
In the current phase of corporate-communal
offensive under Narendra Modi regime, 6th December 2014 has
an exceptional implication. We have been remembering the date (when the
historical Babari Masjid was demolished by the Hindutva forces in 1992) not
only as solidarity to the minority Muslim community, but also as a challenge to
defend secularism and diversity of the country.
During the last six months well planned and
consolidated attacks on minority communities (especially Muslims) and
democratic-forces have intensified to a great extant. Hindutva forces are going
all-out to create communal tension and hate mongering across the country. More
than 600 communal clashes in UP during the first nine weeks of Modi rule and
the recent attacks on Muslims in Bawana
and Trilokpuri in Delhi are glaring examples of their nefarious plan. Hindutva
forces have also attacked anti-communal programmes in Patna,
Pune and Lucknow.
The state under the leadership of Modi is not only a silent spectator of
communal violence perpetrated by Hindutva forces but is culpable of the crime.
Authoritarian Modi government is also preparing the ground to crackdown on all
shades of people’s movement.
The challenge before the secular, democratic
and pro-people forces of the country is grave and manifold. We are organizing a
‘Sampradayikta Virodhi March’ (Anti-communal March) from Mandi House to Jantar
Mantar, Delhi
on 6th December,
2014. We are gathering at Mandi house at 11 AM.
Let us come together and resolve to organize a broad-based resistance against
the offensive of communal Hindutva forces.
We, earnestly appeal to all secular, democratic
and pro-people organizations and individuals to participate in the Joint March.
Please bring your own banners, leaflets, placards and make the March a grand
success. Please endorse our Joint Appeal and circulate it widely.
Hoping for positive response.
